A R O G Y A 2008 Comprehensive International Health Fair on Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy.
In order to showcase the strengths and potential of the Indian Systems of Medicine and Homeopathy, the Department of AYUSH has been organizing AROGYA, a comprehensive health fair in New Delhi and in various other cities in the country. The annual AROGYA in Delhi has been organized in collaboration with ITPO since 2001. Regional AROGYA have also been organized in Chennai, Hyderabad, Dehradun, Indore, Amritsar and Nellore. The first International AROGYA was organized in 2007 and in view of the interest it elicited; it has been decided to organize the second International Arogya at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from October31st-3 rd November, 2008 in association with ITPO. |

| Applicants intending to participate in the fair are requested to fill in the attached application and Catalogue Entry form and send it to ITPO by th October, 2008. However, allocation of stalls will be made on first-come-first-served basis on receipt of complete application form along with requisite 50% payment as advance rental through a Demand Draft in favour of "India Trade Promotion Organisation, New Delhi ". |

There is a worldwide resurgence of interest in traditional medicines based on herbs and medicinal plants. ASU medicines are gaining popularity in many Countries as food supplements. Therefore, in order to encourage AYUSH drug and equipment manufacturing industry and other stakeholders to participate in fairs at regional, national fairs/ conferences/ seminars organized/ supported by the Central/State Governments, it is proposed to provide assistance to stakeholders as detailed below:-

| The eligibility criteria for assistance to AYUSH industry for participation in fairs shall be as under:- |

a) |
Pharmaceutical companies in Government/ Private Sector having GMP certificates with good range of quality products. |
b) |
Other stakeholders like AYUSH equipment manufacturing firms/ NGOs/ Institutes of Yoga & Naturopathy and healthcare providers like hospitals providing and displaying healthcare facilities of AYUSH systems in the fairs. |

The funding pattern will be as under |
The eligible organization has to apply on the prescribed format, complete in all respects, well in advance for consideration and approval of the Project Appraisal Committee of the Department. The grant will be limited to 50% of the cost of participation in fair subject a maximum of Rs. 1, 00,000/-. The grant-in-aid will be released on reimbursement basis. The cost of participation means the expenditure towards rent of space, fabrication, hiring of manpower and transport etc. |
